Technical Visit for Energy Engineering Students
On May 8th, third-year Energy Engineering students from Politecnico di Milano took part in an educational visit to the Tavazzano and Montanaso Combined Cycle Power Plant. The activity was organized as part of the “Energy Systems and Environmental Impact” course, under the guidance of Professor Marco Binotti.
The aim of the visit was to provide students with hands-on learning experience, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of how a thermoelectric power plant operates. Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to explore the plant’s operational context and discuss topics related to maintenance, safety, and operations, thanks to contributions from the technical staff.
Professor Marco Binotti commented:
“The visit to the Tavazzano and Montanaso Power Plant was an important educational opportunity for our students. Being able to directly observe the technologies in action and interact with professionals in the field offers added value to their academic training.”
These field activities reflect the commitment of the Energy Engineering program to fostering interaction between academic education and the industrial world, offering students meaningful experiences that contribute to their professional development.
