Structure of the study programme
The university course in Energy Engineering is structured according to the diagram below. Like all the courses in Engineering offered by Politecnico di Milano and other Italian universities, it is arranged on two progressive levels to be attended in sequence.
The first level (bachelor degree) is a 3 year course and it is achieved after the acquisition of 180 ECTS credits. It gives access to master level courses, specialization courses and first-level university masters.
The second level (master degree) is a 2 year course, with access restricted to first-level graduates only. 120 ECTS credits must be awarded to successfully complete this level, which gives access to PhD courses, specialization courses and second level university masters.
