International experience

International experience

For the Degree program in Energy Engineering, it is vital to give solid support to students in living an international experience, in consideration of the educational, personal and professional importance that this aspect has during the university years. This support is offered both to students enrolled at the Politecnico di Milano who wish to carry out part of their course outside Italy, and to those of other international universities who wish to attend the Politecnico for a period of time.

Students of our Degree programme can participate in the exchange programmes for (outgoing) mobility offered by the University, as described here. These programs allow students to spend a period of study abroad recognized in their academic curriculum thanks to the numerous agreements with partner universities around the world.

For outgoing mobility programmes, in addition to University information, it is mandatory to refer to the indications of the School of Industrial and Information Engineering, and to those specific to our Degree programme, illustrated in the following documents:

Host Locations Compatibility

In addition to the previous programs, students can also participate in the ENHANCE project. The European Universities of Technology Alliance project, ENHANCE for short, is an alliance of ten of Europe’s top research-intensive technical universities, including Politecnico, which is creating a European academic space for the interaction between technology design, society and environment. Within this space, students, teachers, researchers, staff, can already move freely, enriching their training, developing new skills, intercultural sensitivity and capacity for innovation, as if they were part of a single European institution: One Campus!

An additional opportunity for students is the HySET program. This program, focused on the topic of hydrogen as an energy carrier, allows students to acquire fundamental and industrial knowledge on process engineering in the first year, at Politecnico di Torino or Politecnico di Milano, and to deepen specific topics of hydrogen in the second year, at Eindhoven University of Technology, Norwegian University of Science and Technology or Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya. At the end of the course, students fulfill a double degree, the first from the Italian university of attendance and the second from the foreign one.

Students from other international universities can attend the course of our Degree program through the many  exchange programs for mobility (incoming) offered by the University.

A further opportunity for students is, as for Politecnico students, the ENHANCE project and HySET.
